After releasing the full-length album The Royal Thousand metalcore band Glass Cloud decided to djent harder and wrote the Perfect War Forever EP.
The goal was to thematically tie this release to the previous album’s art themes of weathered power, or ancient power on display in a “safe space” museum setting. I also wanted to express my frustration with permanent war and the country’s spiritual death.
Hidden throughout this layout are subconscious messages. The title is the most obvious, with red highlighted words giving the release an alternative titled of “Fear Forever” but throughout the layout there are more messages inspired by those seen in CIA / MKUltra mind control conspiracy videos.
This physical release was designed as a digipak, with full color disc and stapled booklet. I also created an apparel design featuring the cover imagery and WAR logo created for this album.
